As Physiotherapist for the Girls Academy, you will deliver best-practice physiotherapy and sports medicine services in collaboration with the Club Doctor, medical, strength and conditioning and coaching staff. The role is responsible for supporting the physical wellbeing and performance of athletes within the Girls Academy program and providing any additional services reasonably required by the Club from time to time.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Assess, diagnose and manage player injuries, including acute injury care, strapping and taping, rehabilitation, and return to play programming.
* Provide pitch side trauma care for academy age groups at training sessions and home matches.
* Work collaboratively with the Club Doctor, Strength and Conditioning staff, and coaching staff on the assessment, treatment, monitoring and physical preparation of players.
* Attend all scheduled team training sessions and home fixtures.
* Be available and contactable to coordinate and deliver player treatment as required.
* Ensure appropriate cross-cover arrangements are in place during any periods of absence.
* Maintain accurate, detailed and confidential medical records for all treatments and advice provided.
* Complete medical notes in a timely manner, preferably on the day of consultation.
* Utilise and maintain injury tracking systems to support player monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications and Professional Requirements
* A recognised degree in Physiotherapy
* Current professional registration with AHPRA.
* Eligibility to work in Australia.
* All Employees of the Wanderers regardless of their employment status must hold a valid employee Working with Children's Check
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary high-performance environment.

Unique Criteria
Due to the nature of the industry, the ideal candidate must be flexible in their availability as irregular hours and weekend work will be required for this role, such as working at home and away games.
This position is offered as a fixed-term contracted role through to 30 September 2026, with an expected commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. Due to the dynamic nature of elite sport, flexibility in working hours is essential, including availability for evenings, weekends, and match-day requirements.
