About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to manage, coordinate and deliver specialised Inpatient Physiotherapy clinical services at a facility level, and professional leadership on a district wide basis, across a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health in accordance with organisational goals.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver Physiotherapy clinical and consultancy services with independent application of advanced clinical, expertise and high-level use of evidence-based practice to manage problems of significant scope within the complex and critical areas of Medical, Surgical, Intensive Care, Cancer Care and work with the Senior in Paediatrics to co-ordinate cardiorespiratory care for children.
- Provide daily high-level clinical advice at facility and district level to the patient and other relevant stakeholders including Medical Officers, Physiotherapists, members of the multidisciplinary team, and external agencies in matters relating to physiotherapy and multidisciplinary management in speciality areas outlined above.
- Provide professional leadership of a clinical team (including therapy assistants) in the development of clinical practice, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care, including responsibility for a positive work culture, staff performance and implementation and monitoring of physiotherapy clinical practices / standards.
