Girton Grammar School is seeking a motivated and hands‑on Maintenance, Infrastructure and Grounds General Hand to help keep our beautiful school environment safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained for our students, staff, and community.
In this dynamic and varied role, you'll support the upkeep of school buildings, maintain our gardens and grounds, assist with event setups, and respond to maintenance requests to ensure our campuses are presented to the highest standard. Every day will bring a mix of practical tasks, teamwork, and the satisfaction of contributing to a vibrant and caring school community.
What you'll be doing
* Carrying out minor building repairs and general maintenance
* Maintaining lawns, gardens, pathways, and outdoor areas
* Supporting event setups and pack‑downs across the school
* Monitoring and completing maintenance tickets
* Maintaining equipment and supporting safe, clean facilities
* Working collaboratively with staff, contractors, and the school community
* Contributing to a safe environment through strong OH&S and child‑safe practices
What you'll bring
* Practical experience in grounds, trades, or maintenance work
* Ability to operate tools, machinery, and garden equipment safely
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
* A positive, team‑focused attitude and good communication skills
* Physical capability to perform manual tasks in outdoor environments
