About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Maintenance and Customer Service Officer to join the Repairs and Maintenance team, based in the Parkes office. This role plays an important part in supporting tenants and ensuring properties are well-maintained. You’ll be the first point of contact for maintenance enquiries, while also working closely with contractors and the tenancy team to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle tenant enquiries, triage maintenance requests, and follow up with contractors to ensure timely completion.
- Manage contractor compliance by maintaining current records of licences and insurances.
- Process incoming mail, invoices, and documentation, ensuring works are verified and approved before payment.
- Prepare and issue inspection notices, works notifications, rental statements, and other tenant correspondence.
- Maintain accurate tenant records and information in Chintaro, including uploading photos and documentation.
- Ensure all files and documentation are kept up to date in line with MLAHMC policies and procedures.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in administration, property management, maintenance coordination or a related field
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with tenancy or property systems (Chintaro experience highly regarded, but training provided)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with a strong customer focus
- Robust organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and build positive relationships with contractors and tenants
- A willingness to learn and apply housing policies, systems, and processes
