About Us

As the third fastest growing local government in WA, our community is changing. Sure, there is an increase in number of people who are lucky enough to live, work or play here. But beyond the numbers, we recognise that how we do things needs to keep pace with community expectations.

We have worked with our community to develop aspirational targets and need your help to make this come true.

About the Role

You'll be the first point of contact for our Ranger and Emergency Services team – the person who keeps things moving smoothly behind the scenes while making sure our community feel heard and supported.

Each day you'll

* Answer enquiries via email and a busy phone line.
* Coordinate with rangers to delegate work and resolve local law matters.
* Process infringements, registrations, applications and other matters.
* Provide a high level of administration for the team.
* Contribute to protecting community safety and wellbeing.

About You

You're someone who:

* Has strong administration and data entry skills and can keep multiple tasks on track at once.
* Is confident and calm when handling difficult or emotional customer situations.
* Loves working in a team but can take initiative and solve problems independently.
* Is adaptable to change and happy to learn new systems and processes.
* Ideally has experience in compliance, enforcement, or local government (bonus points if you know the Dog Act from the Cat Act).
* A current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain) is essential.

What it is Like Working Here

We are a values led organisation guided by our belief that we:

* Care
* Are Better, Together
* Learn & Grow
* Seize Today, Shape Tomorrow

Joining our team means embracing a culture where we look after ourselves, and each other. We actively listen and give and receive constructive feedback. We build and strengthen resilience, in ourselves, in our organisation, and in the community. We are mindful of our impacts and encouraged to make responsible and sustainable decisions.

Perks and Benefits

* We are set up for flexibility – we can compress your working week into a shorter period (9 day fortnight or 19 day month) and support remote working where we can
* We are set up to improve your Wellbeing - Free membership to Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre, offering access to gym, pool, sauna, group classes as well as a annual calendar of Wellbeing events.
* If you put in extra super, we will match it (up to a maximum of 15%) which will help secure your financial future
* Study Assistance where the City of Armadale supports its tenured employees to undertake a course of part-time study that will help with their own professional development
