We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Pilbara operations and drive operational excellence across multiple business units, potential relocation or FIFO roster.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for efficiency, profitability, compliance, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the region.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operational performance across the Pilbara, ensuring services and projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will play a key role in translating strategic objectives into operational outcomes, mentoring business unit managers, strengthening client relationships, and driving commercial performance.
This role is suited to a proven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in operations or project delivery within mining, construction, engineering, or industrial services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily operations across the Pilbara, ensuring safe and successful delivery of services and projects.
Drive operational efficiency through process optimisation, cost control, and performance monitoring.
Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability across business units.
Ensure compliance with HSEQ, regulatory, contractual, and client requirements.
Monitor operational KPIs, identify risks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, suppliers, regulators, and internal teams.
Mentor and support business unit managers to achieve high performance, accountability, and team development.
Champion safety, quality, diversity, and a culture of excellence across all operations.
Produce accurate and timely operational reports, project performance updates, and KPI summaries.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field; or minimum 8–10 years' leadership experience in operations or project management.
Strong HSEQ focus with demonstrated commitment to safe, compliant operations.
Proven experience managing large teams, budgets, and multi-site operations.
Financial acumen including forecasting, cost control, and P&L management.
Experience in mining services, construction, resources, or industrial services.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building ability.
Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused.
