Tropical Coast Plumbing is a well-established and growing plumbing business with over 20 years of industry experience and multiple locations across North Queensland.
We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, strong customer relationships, and a supportive team culture. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team in Mackay.
About the Role
This is a key position within the business, responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
You will work closely with management to support business performance and maintain strong financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage accounts payable and receivable
* Process payroll, superannuation and employee entitlements
* Bank reconciliations and cash flow management
* Prepare BAS, IAS and financial reports
* Maintain accurate financial records and compliance
* Liaise with external accountants and auditors
* Monitor budgets and assist with financial planning
* Improve and maintain bookkeeping systems and processes
About You
* Proven experience in a Senior Bookkeeping role
* Strong knowledge of Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
* Excellent understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication skills
