About the role:
Astellas is searching for a Commercial Capabilities Training Specialist to join our team As the Training Specialist, your primary purpose will be to ensure our commercial teams have the most effective and appropriate training allowing them to exceed customer expectations. This role will be the catalyst of breakthrough performance and capability development.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role will focus on coaching and developing our line managers to align our vision and goals. If you were to be successful, you would be working on meaningful programs and ultimately changing the lives of our patients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Measure, analyse, and identify priority commercial skills and capability gaps
* Partner with brand Heads of BU/BU Managers and other cross-functional partners to train and execute key commercial programs with high performance and high integrity
* Run upskilling sessions for In-Field Teams based on learning needs and skills gaps
* Define and drive consistent standards of performance and behaviour for In-Field Team Capabilities
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
* Demonstrated success in the development, execution of performance strategies within the pharmaceutical and or biotechnology sectors
* Demonstrated leadership abilities
* Experience in sales force effectiveness is ideal
* Planning and project management
* Effective change management
* Demonstrated growth mindset and agility competencies
* Ability to work closely with commercial employees in the field
* Strategic and technical thinker, quick to adapt to new technology and a willingness to learn new systems

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
* 5 years relevant commercial pharma experience
* Awareness of or experience with digital and multichannel sales concepts
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Competent negotiation and persuasive abilities
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong project management skills
Education/Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Marketing and/or Business
* Life Sciences/Pharmacy qualifications preferred
* Cert IV of better skills and training certificate
