Lifeguard / Gym Attendant - HMAS Watson

️ Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM - 8:30 PM | Baseline Security Clearance Required (or willing to obtain)
Join BGIS in a rewarding and active role as a Lifeguard / Gym Attendant based at HMAS Watson. You'll be part of a supportive team delivering essential wellbeing services to the defence community in a structured and safety-first environment.
What You'll Be Doing
* Monitor gym and pool areas to ensure the safety of all users
* Perform First Aid and emergency response when needed
* Open and close the gym, ensuring cleanliness and readiness
* Support Physical Training Instructors (PTIs) with setup and equipment
* Manage bookings, check IDs, and assist with member sign-ins
* Maintain loan equipment and manage inventory
* Report maintenance issues and contribute to stocktakes
* Work independently while ensuring compliance with safety protocols
What You'll Bring
* Current First Aid and Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard certificate (required)
* Ability to demonstrate strong swimming skills (must reach 6m pool depth within 6 months)
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Reliability, professionalism, and a proactive attitude
* Willingness to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
* Availability for weekday shifts (overtime available on weekends at other sites)
