Job Description
Based in our Adelaide office, this role will provide generalist Human Resources support and advice to our Victoria & South Australia business unit.
Reporting to the Senior People Advisor, key responsibilities will include:
* Provide advice to employees on HR matters such as resolution of employee issues and grievances, application and interpretation of policies/practices/legislation, and exits and terminations.
* General HR support including management of employee files, preparation of HR correspondence and documents, and ensuring employee records are maintained and up to date.
* Assist with the induction and offboarding processes including facilitating inductions and exit interviews.
* Assist with local Learning and Development activities, in conjunction with the Senior People Advisor and Learning and Development team.
* Administration of workers compensation claims and the return to work coordination of injured workers in rehabilitation phase.
* Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, HR systems and practices which align with and support Company or local objectives.
Qualifications
The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline, with operational HR experience within a medium-large organisation, preferably within a similar industry.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels, operate autonomously, and demonstrate sound reasoning and decision-making capabilities.
* Proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced environments, combined with the ability to interpret complex information and apply it to practical HR problems.
