Role Overview
Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 - Mental Health Inpatient Unit
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our mental health inpatient unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide person-centered specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for the designated specialty.
* Develop and implement evidence-based nursing plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes;
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve seamless care transitions and improve overall patient experience;
* Provide clinical leadership and support to less experienced clinicians to promote excellence in nursing practice;
Responsibilities:
* Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans;
* Implement interventions to address patient priorities and promote recovery;
* Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction;
* Contribute to education and training programs to maintain and enhance nursing skills;
Requirements:
* Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications in mental health;
* Minimum three years' experience working in the clinical specialty;
* Strong competencies in clinical decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills;
