Job Description
GURLEEN PAINTING & DECORATING We are seeking a qualified and experienced Painter to join us full-time. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of industry experience and hold a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent minimum qualification).
You will be responsible for preparing, applying, and finishing painting and decorating works, ensuring high standards are consistently met. Benefits Competitive annual salary package of $75,000–$85,000 plus superannuation. Secure, full-time role with long-term stability.

Task & responsibilities Set up scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings (such as drop sheets) to ensure safe and clean work areas. Prepare surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling cracks/holes, and sealing/smoothing surfaces. Select and mix paints to achieve required colours and finishes, incorporating pigments, oils, and other additives.
Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Hang wallpaper, align and match patterns, and trim edges with precision. Clean tools, equipment, and work areas to maintain safety and efficiency.
Carry out minor repair work, including fixing windows and replacing glass in timber and metal frames. Qualification & experience Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification. Minimum 1–3 years of proven painting and decorating experience.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and colour mixing. Ability to work independently and within a team. Commitment to safety standards and attention to detail.
