Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Endpoint Engineering Specialist for a 6-month contract focused on optimisation and security hardening of the endpoint setting. The role will play a critical part in a large-scale application consolidation initiative using MECM (SCCM), ensuring alignment with the Essential Eight framework, targeting Maturity Level 2.
About the Role
This position is well suited to a technically strong skilled professional with deep experience in MECM, PowerShell-based application packaging, and enterprise endpoint security.
Responsibilities
* Application Consolidation: Review, rationalise, and consolidate a library of 400+ packaged applications across an estate of 3,000+ PCs.
* Security Compliance: Implement and maintain endpoint configurations to meet or exceed Essential Eight – Maturity Level 2 standards.
* Application Packaging: Create, update, and maintain application packages using PowerShell scripting to support consistent, silent deployments.
* Hardware & Firmware Management: Manage hardware-level configurations including driver updates and BIOS/firmware management across the endpoint fleet.
* Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with large-scale software deployments and system changes.
Qualifications
* Extensive hands‐on experience administering MECM, particularly application deployment and lifecycle management.
* Robust proficiency in PowerShell for advanced application packaging, automation, and remediation.
* Security & Compliance: Practical experience applying the Essential Eight framework in enterprise environments.
* Packaging Standards: Proven ability to package complex software for silent, automated installation at scale.
Required Skills
* Experience with Patch My PC for third‐party application management.
* Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD‐102) or equivalent.
* Previous experience delivering large‐scale application or fleet consolidation projects.
