A key role for a Hilton Chef de Partie involves supervising the team and ensuring high standards of food preparation to deliver an exceptional Guest and Member experience. This includes assisting with food cost controls and contributing to the success of our culinary operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise staff to ensure all food preparation meets our high standards.
* Prepare and present high-quality dishes that exceed guest expectations.
* Maintain clean and tidy work areas, preventing cross-contamination and adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Prepare mis-en-place for relevant menus, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the kitchen.
* Handle guest queries promptly and efficiently, providing excellent service at all times.
* Ensure food quality and proper storage, minimizing waste and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
* Assist with cost control, improving gross profit margins and meeting departmental and financial targets.
* Collaborate with other departments to maintain good relationships and support the overall success of the hotel.
* Train staff in compliance with company procedures, under the guidance of the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
* Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef de Partie.
* Valid trade qualification in commercial cookery (proof may be required).
* Strong coaching skills and ability to motivate teams.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and desire to maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
* Supervisory experience and positive attitude.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
* Capability to work independently or as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and mutual support.
