About the opportunity
The Technical Support team seeks an Advanced Technical Support Engineer (Medium-Voltage and Digital Power range) to guide customers and SE businesses in their post-sales journey. Responsibilities include phone-based installation and setup support, maintenance, remote troubleshooting, and managing critical customer issues by liaising with stakeholders to expedite resolutions and improve processes.
Key operational responsibilities
* Understand customer issues and expectations, including assessing additional information needed for troubleshooting.
* Contribute to reducing End-to-End resolution times.
* Take ownership of technical skill development, including hands-on expertise.
* Develop technical expertise on SE's product range and contribute to knowledge resources.
* Showcase customer success stories to highlight the value of technical support.
* Identify new opportunities during customer engagement.
* Enhance company reputation through excellent technical service.
About you
The ideal candidate exhibits an innovative, strategic approach, focused on defining and supporting new models of technical support to deliver premium service. They are customer-obsessed, striving to exceed expectations.
Required skills
* Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Power/Process Automation/Mechatronic Engineering, or relevant trade qualification.
* Understanding of Medium-voltage products (VCB, Transformers, RMU), MV-protection, and applications.
* Knowledge of Electrical schematics, SLD, Arc fault protection concepts, and Protection Relays.
* Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., AS3000, AS62271, AS2067).
Preferred skills
* Hands-on experience with Medium-voltage products.
* Experience in electrical engineering, fault finding, troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of communication protocols (TCP/IP, Modbus Ethernet, RS485), IEC 61850.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, Microsoft Office.
Additional skills
* Experience with Protection relay software.
* Understanding of MV switchgear components.
* Experience with customer-support tools (e.g., Salesforce).
* Strong collaboration and commercial acumen.
* Digital skills and a customer-centric approach.
