About Queensland Pathways State College Queensland Pathways State College, Mount Isa Campus is seeking a School Support Officer to support the wellbeing, engagement and learning of students facing barriers to mainstream education. Working under the direction of the Head of Campus, this role provides classroom, wellbeing and attendance support while building strong relationships with students, families and community. The position focuses on supporting the whole student to re-engage with education and transition successfully into training or employment. Your Role Responsibilities include: Student Wellbeing & Engagement * Support students in classrooms through one-on-one and small group assistance. * Build trusting relationships that support attendance, behaviour and engagement. * Monitor student wellbeing and identify concerns, supporting early intervention. * Facilitate student connection and wellbeing activities during breaks and programs. Family & Community Connection * Work alongside families to encourage student engagement and attendance. * Participate in home visits and case discussions as part of a team approach. * Act as a key contact point for students and families to support communication and connection. Learning & Pathways Support * Assist students to engage with vocational learning and work-readiness activities. * Support students to access pathway opportunities and develop future goals. * Assist with student data, attendance tracking and record keeping. Operational & Campus Support * Drive the school bus to support student attendance, activities and excursions. * Support daily school operations including student contact, events and resources. * Undertake other duties aligned to student support as directed by the Head of Campus.
