About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Electrical Estimator (Entry Level) with experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction to join our team. This role involves reviewing and evaluating sales opportunities, tenders, specifications, and drawings to prepare competitive tender submissions.
Our projects span various sectors, including Energex subdivisions, road lighting, traffic signals, water treatment, and service maintenance. Our clients range from government entities to asset managers and Tier 2 civil contractors. Our bids cover both pre-designed and design-and-construct projects as well as tailored scoped solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and evaluate tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
* Prepare cost estimates and budgets at different levels of detail.
* Conduct internal estimate review meetings with senior management.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Attend site meetings and visits as required.
* Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives proactively.
* Assist project managers and other team members as needed.
Key Requirements:
* Electrical trade or engineering qualifications with relevant experience.
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team.
* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Ground Plan.
