Job Title: Primary Care Nurse Specialist
This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a correctional setting.
About the Role:
The South Coast Correctional Centre (SCCC) is a 1050-bed facility that houses male offenders in minimum, medium, and maximum-security areas. The SCCC provides accommodation for inmates as well as services and programs for recreation, education, and employment. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will work alongside a dedicated multi-disciplinary team comprising of primary care, drug & alcohol and mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing management
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- At least one full year of nursing experience
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
