Health and Safety Consultant Position
This role is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Health and Safety Consultant.
The purpose of this position is to provide assistance with the delivery of Health and Safety services for management and staff across our organization. This includes supporting the Health and Safety team through incident assessment and follow-up, assisting with training, reporting, hazard assessments, and liaising with clients to build relationships necessary for a successful safety team.
You will be working closely with the Principal Advisor - Workplace Health and Safety Assurance, and the Distributed Care Safety Operations team to ensure a cohesive approach to health and safety across the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide support to the Health and Safety team in the development and delivery of training programs, workshops, and presentations focusing on health and safety.
* Assist in the coordination and minute-taking for health and safety committees under Distributed Care.
* Liaise with the safety team and stakeholders to gain an understanding of hazards and potential solutions to issues as they arise.
* Participate in local networks and engage with external agencies in relation to health and safety.
* Ensure that patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds, gender, identity, ages, or abilities.
