About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced WHS & Quality (HSEQ) Manager with a strong background in commercial building construction. You will join the executive team, leading and overseeing workplace safety and compliance across multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to WHS legislation and Integrated Management System (IMS) principles. This is a hands-on role for a proactive safety leader who thrives on improving systems, mentoring staff, and embedding a safety-first culture on site and in the office.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development, implementation, and review of WHS policies, procedures, and programs across commercial construction projects.
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and IMS requirements on all building sites.
* Conduct site audits, incident investigations, and safety training sessions for staff and contractors.
* Manage document control processes and ensure project compliance from tender through to handover.
* Collaborate with operational teams and HR to embed a strong safety culture across construction sites and the workforce.
Your Profile
About You:
* Proven experience in WHS/HSEQ roles within commercial building construction.
* Strong knowledge of IMS principles and WHS legislation.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor teams and influence culture.
* Track record in compliance management, reporting, incident investigations, and safety audits.
