Overview

We’re seeking a Health & Safety Partner to join our People & Culture team at Brand Collective. This full-time role will be based at our Richmond Support Office with regular travel to stores and distribution centres. You’ll partner with leaders across the business to drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring our team members feel safe, supported, and empowered at work. Reporting to the GGM People & Culture, you’ll be responsible for driving compliance and embedding a positive, prevention-led health, safety and wellbeing culture across our retail stores and support offices, covering operations across Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain WHS policies, procedures and frameworks in line with AU/NZ legislative requirements
- Drive compliance with key reforms including and Positive Duty obligations
- Monitor legislative changes and proactively address health, safety, and wellbeing risks
- Lead physical and psychosocial risk assessments, audits and store inspections
- Collaborate with business leaders to build and reinforce a culture of safety, respect and inclusion
- Design prevention strategies that tackle psychosocial risks and workplace behaviour challenges
- Own the end-to-end WorkCover claims process, ensuring timely, compliant and people-first outcomes
- Lead early intervention and return-to-work strategies that minimise downtime and support sustainable recovery
- Monitor and report on premium performance and partner with insurers to identify mitigation opportunities
- In collaboration with the People Business Partnering team, develop and deliver WHS and wellbeing training, tools and resources
- Coach leaders and team members to embed a proactive, safety-first mindset across the organisation
- Set up and maintain reporting systems to track WHS performance, trends and incidents
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen maturity across WHS and injury management

About You

- 4+ years’ experience in a WHS, safety advisory or injury management role, ideally within a multi-site environment (retail industry experience a bonus)
- Solid understanding of relevant WHS legislation in both Australia and New Zealand
- Experience managing end-to-end WorkCover and return-to-work processes
- Comfortable developing training and working with stakeholders at all levels
- Analytical, proactive and highly organised—you bring structure and insight to everything you do
