As the Health and Injury Management Officer, you'll be part of an established Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. Partnering with stakeholders, your role is support and enable early, safe and sustainable return to work initiatives. This is a people centric role, where a caring and understanding approach are critical to your success. Day to day you will:
* Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders, providing advice and guidance on injury investigation and claims management processes
* Manage a caseload of injury matters end to end
* Support with claims lodgement and monitoring progress
* Monitor employee health and develop work rehabilitation and return to work programs including suitable duties plans
* Engage Medical, Rehabilitation and Allied Health Professionals
* Interpret and apply legislation relating to WorkCover claims/processes and compliance
* Contribute to identifying risk reduction strategies
* Work with various systems and portals to enable the injury management and return to work process (Riskman, WorkCover, Ticketing systems, MS Office)
The ideal candidate will bring:
* Qualifications in Injury Management/Insurance/Workers Compensation or Allied Health Profession or aligned
* Demonstrated experience working in injury management (physical and non-physical)
* Demonstrated experience in facilitating safe and sustainable return to work programs including building suitable duties plans
* An authentic and supportive approach to stakeholder engagement
* Practical knowledge of Worker's Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation relevant to health and injury management
* Experience in administering and monitoring WorkCover claims/processes
* High levels of attention to detail
* Organisational and time management skills
* MS Office skills
