Business Development Manager - WA
The position will be based in WA to cover WA and surrounds primarily, with potential involvement in some activities in other parts of Australia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle across both end-user and distributor channels, driving sustainable revenue growth and market expansion.
You will act as a trusted ambassador for corporate initiatives, effectively communicating and enabling their success with customers and partners.
A key focus of the role is to strategically identify, develop, and optimize existing and new distribution channels to maximize market reach and long-term performance.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, hard-working professional, with a positive attitude focusing on teamwork that thrives in a fast-paced, sales target and results-driven work environment meeting company objectives and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive sales of advanced gas detection solutions through both distribution networks and direct customer engagement across Australia.
Proactively generate new business opportunities and lead strategic business development initiatives.
Position full suite of products, services, as a service as the preferred solution for industrial safety.
Consistently create and convert high-quality leads for both and traditional product offerings.
Identify and pursue new prospects through research, outbound calls, referrals, events, and targeted campaigns, including digital marketing and industry exhibitions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of proven success in sales to Australian industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Chemicals, and Utilities.
Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to build lasting relationships via phone, email, and in person.
Highly goal-driven, ethical, and results-oriented, with a reputation for integrity and professionalism.
Demonstrated creativity and motivation to engage prospects and initiate meaningful conversations.
Strong organisational skills and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering measurable results.
Committed to delivering outstanding customer service at every stage of the sales process.
Willingness to travel up to 50% across Australia to meet customer and business needs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote).
Experience in gas detection or industrial safety (sales, technical, or customer service) is highly advantageous.
Previous sales management experience, including team leadership, is a plus.
Familiarity with selling software and service-based solutions such as maintenance programs and rental agreements is desirable.
Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM is an advantage.
