About the role
The Mental Health Clinician uses clinical expertise to support consumers to create the positive changes they identify as needed. This opportunity is open to Provisional or General Registered Psychologists.
We have a full-time position available until 30 June 2026 (Part-time may be considered). Full-time positions also have the option to enjoy a monthly rostered day off.
The Medicare Mental Health Centre service will operate seven days a week and candidates should be flexible and available to work on a rostered basis, including on weekends and outside of normal business hours, as needed.

Duties
* Provide immediate intervention and support to consumers experiencing crisis or significant distress.
* Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to determine care needs and collaboratively develop care plans with consumers and their support networks.
* Deliver evidence-based psychological strategies to consumers, either individually or in group settings.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals and external service providers to deliver integrated care.
Skills & Experience
1. Current AHPRA registration as a Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist. Applicants who hold AHPRA registration as a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist (accredited in Mental Health) or accreditation with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker are also encouraged to apply.
2. The ability to engage effectively with consumers and their families/carers to conduct assessments, coordinate care, and provide referral support.
3. Proven skills in delivering holistic, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
4. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the capability to work independently when needed.
