Visiting seniors and aged care residents requires a kind heart and a listening ear. We are seeking individuals who can provide companionship and social support to those in need, through regular visits to aged care facilities in the Rockhampton region.
The volunteers will engage in activities with residents such as having a cup of tea, playing games, or simply having a conversation. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, compassionate and enjoys building relationships.
We require volunteers to commit to visiting one hour, once a fortnight. This may involve travelling to local aged care facilities and engaging with residents in various ways.
To be suitable for this role, you must be over the age of 18 and willing to undergo a national police check. You should also be able to commit to volunteering regularly for more than six months.
