Job Title: Director of Business Development
Join a leading logistics company as a Director of Business Development. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our business development efforts and drive growth.
This is a full-time position based in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of increasing sales year over year and a proven ability to develop new business while maintaining existing accounts.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, be customer-focused, and have a deep understanding of the logistics industry.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Prospects and qualifies new customers to maintain a target list of not less than 25 qualified pipeline opportunities
* Provides input to management to respond to changing market conditions, to improve internal efficiency, and maximize results
* Maintains strong professional relationships with existing customers, including participating in regular customer business reviews
* Anticipates or identifies evolving customer needs
* Assists in overseas campaigns and overseas visitors' requirements
* Supports and assists in the attainment of company goals and objectives aligned with the Hellmann Sales Strategy
* Ensures all bids are submitted in a timely manner to Tender Management for proper completion
* Prepares client quotations and presentation of proposals
* Maintains client records and commercial activity with complete and timely entry of information into the Hellmann customer relationship management CRM system
* Updates CRM with activities as per company guidelines
* Manages approximately 25 target customers
* Travels as required
* Serves as liaison between customer and operational staff
* Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Logistics/Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
* Possess a minimum of 10 years related experience in sales, marketing, and customer service
* Proven track record of increasing sales year over year
* Possess a minimum six years sales experience in freight forwarding

* Proficient in world geography, import/export documentation, and Incoterms
