Phillip Riley has partnered with a global renewables developer & IPP in its search for a BDM - Renewables Origination to join its fast growing Australian team.

Reporting to the Country Manager and collaborating with local project development and global business support teams, you will deliver a pipeline of greenfield renewable energy developments, leading initial landowner engagements to secure land tenure for new utility scale projects.

**About the Role**

This role's responsibilities include:

- Developing and implementing an market relevant strategy for finding new project sites and securing land tenure;
- Using business development and communication strategies to sell the company's commercial proposition to prospective landholders;
- Bring together commercial skills with technical wind, solar, or BESS knowledge to execute deals and secure a viable pipeline of development projects;
- Lead initial enviro and grid connectoins assessment on prospective projects to make go/no-go decisions on sites;
- Contribute to inputs for financial models to assist in commercial decision-making.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

- Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline (engineering, business, etc.);
- 10+ years of renewable energy market experience in Australia;
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of project originaion strategy development and execution, in collaboration with the Country Manager;
- Ability to generate business leads;
- Experience dealing with landowners and negotiating land agreements;
- Excellent commercial skills;
- Ability and willingness to travel interstate as required;
- Full Australian work rights.

This role may suit professionals looking to transition from OEMs into a developer setting. Those with business development, proposal development and client facing capabilities, along with an appetite to generate new business and leads for greenfield origination, will be an ideal fit.
