We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Commercial Contract Specialist. In this role, you will collaborate with technology stakeholders and business owners to create and implement portfolio-wide contract and supplier management strategies.
\
This is a pivotal position that requires collaboration with Technology stakeholders and business owners to develop and implement portfolio contract and supplier management frameworks, covering everything from forecast planning to contract negotiations and reviews.
\
You will drive vendor engagement and contracting processes to meet key business objectives, while working closely with teams across Finance, Legal, Privacy, Risk, and Cyber to ensure comprehensive alignment.
\
In this role, you'll provide expert guidance on market trends, strategic sourcing best practices, and long-term enterprise goals, making a tangible impact across the organisation.
\
Key Responsibilities:
\

1. Lead contracting negotiations for new vendor engagements and across a portfolio of existing vendor renewals
\
\
2. Influence business owners to ensure the necessary commercial practices are agreed before progressing to sourcing.
\
\
3. Work with business owners to understand their ongoing requirements, future demand and planned long-term strategy.
\
\
4. Maintain ongoing governance of existing vendors and strategically plan renewals.
\
\
5. Act as the commercial contracting SME for projects and tenders.
\
\
6. Maintain industry monitoring of vendors, pricing fluctuation and trends

Required Skills and Qualifications:
\
To succeed in this role, you will need:
\
\
7. A proven track record in contract management / commercial role with engagement with legal, privacy and cyber stakeholders
\
\
8. Detailed understanding of contracts, contract management and legal terminology
\
\
9. Ability to navigate complex legal documents and ensure compliance with privacy and cybersecurity requirements.
