The Centre applies basic, translational and clinical approaches to understanding cancer biology through patient-centred discovery programs and uses this information to improve patient outcomes through clinical trials.The types of roles we have available and specific skills requiredWe are looking for multiple Research Assistants to work within individual teams (see summary below). Full position descriptions for each role are attached to this advert, please fully review the requirements before making a selection.Molecular Oncology Board (MOB) team: you will assist with the coordination of activities related to the Omico MOB, including the review of clinico-pathological patient data and dissemination of comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) results and MOB reports to referring medical oncologists. Candidates with excellent written communication skills and a science-based undergraduate degree, particularly with an understanding of biochemistry and/or molecular biology, will be highly regarded.Clinical Follow Up team: you will assist with the coordination of clinical follow up activities associated with the Cancer Screening Program (CaSP) and Molecular Screening and Therapeutics Study (MoST) nationally. This will include liaising with clinicians and medical record departments to obtain high quality and accurate information ensuring data quality and maintaining team documentation. This role involves coordination and administrative work, with confidential data collection and management. This role does not require previous clinical trial experience.Trial Liaison team: you will assist in the coordination of activities related to the Omico associated clinical trials within the Cancer Screening Program (CaSP) nationally. This may include contact with patients, liaison with clinicians and medical services, data quality checking and reporting. This includes attending MOB meetings and monitoring recommendations for Omico-associated trials. Communicating with medical oncologists, as well as tracking patient enrolment to Omico-associated clinical trials.
