Area Sales Manager Job Description
The Area Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by maximizing profitability, volume, and market share through the strategic expansion of new unit sales within their designated territory.
This involves building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective clients, thereby supporting the Townsville Branch's objectives. To achieve this, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Achieving profitable unit volume growth through new and used sales in the sales territory.
2. Developing and nurturing good relationships with customers in a competitive environment.
3. Promoting sales of the company's products to existing customers and identifying opportunities to establish new contacts.
4. Organizing customer visits to demonstrate the performance and suitability of the company's products.
5. Participating in the planning and execution of programs designed to promote the company's products and sales and marketing activities.
6. Providing feedback to senior management regarding client response and interest patterns.
7. Utilizing technical knowledge to assist in the preparation of estimates and tenders in accordance with sales and pricing policy.
8. Ensuring technical information and advice regarding the nature and performance of the company's products is provided to customers.
Requirements
* Tertiary Qualification in Business, Sales or Sales & Marketing, desirable.
* Previous experience in Sales within the Material Handling industry.
* Ability to handle conflicting priorities and work professionally under pressure in competitive situations.
* Excellent Customer Service & Interpersonal skills.
* Intermediate to advanced Computer literacy.
* Self-Motivation and great time management skills.
