A newly created role as Procurement Manager - Governance and Systems is available in Melbourne as a full time, hybrid role. This a team leadership role within an organisation that is investing in its procurement operations capability.
The key responsibilities are as follows
- Manage and further embed the eProcuremnet platform across the organisation. This has been a large investment and this role will roll out strategy and operational efficiency to make the most of the functionality that maximises all sourcing and supplier engagement activity.
- Lead a team of analysts providing clear direction for direct reports, including roles and responsibilities, performance and development, and coaching.
- Lead and manage Procurement Lifecycle Governance, Compliance and System Activity Monitoring
- Supplier On-Boarding and Management
- Identify opportunities for improvement, training gaps within Procurement and the business, encourage the sharing of knowledge, and lead and contribute to procurement and contract management initiatives as delegated by Senior Procurement Manager - Systems, Reporting & Analysis.
- Display strong communication and negotiation skills and be able to work closely with the procurement team, and internal and external stakeholders, to ensure best value for money and to identify new procurement opportunities
- At least 6 years' experience in a similar role either within Industry or State government.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with other functions, suppliers, and individuals to achieve common goals
- Analytical and results orientated approach to improving procurement performance
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong focus on education and continuous improvement
- Advanced EProcurement tools skills and demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement practices (source to pay) (i.e. Zycus, Oracle JD Edwards, SAP).

The remuneration package on offer is over $170,000 including super.
