Lead community oral health services that make a real difference. Better Health Network (BHN) is seeking an experienced Program Manager, Oral Health to provide leadership and continuity across our Oral Health program during a period of long service leave. This is a fixed-term opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a large, multi-site community dental service delivering high-quality, accessible care across south‐eastern Melbourne. Our Oral Health Program is delivered in partnership with the Victorian Government, Oral Health Victoria (OHV), and over 50 Community Dental Agencies. BHN operates 23 dental chairs across four fixed clinics (South Melbourne, Prahran, Bentleigh East, and Parkdale), alongside outreach services across multiple LGAs.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead operational delivery of oral health services across fixed sites and outreach programs
* Provide visible, values‐led leadership to Team Leaders and multidisciplinary teams
* Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, rostering, and performance management
* Manage budgets, financial performance, and reporting against funded targets
* Ensure compliance with accreditation, quality, safety, and risk frameworks
* Maintain strong relationships with OHV, external partners, and internal stakeholders
* Drive continuous improvement, service innovation, and client‐centred practice
About You
You are a confident, adaptable leader with experience managing complex, multi‐site health services. You bring strong operational, financial, and people leadership skills and can quickly build trust with teams and stakeholders.
You Will Bring
* Relevant tertiary qualification in oral health with current or eligible registration
* Experience leading dental or community health programs (multi‐site preferred)
* Strong workforce, budget, and performance management capability
* Experience working in not-for-profit or community health environments
* High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills
* A values‐driven, outcomes‐focused leadership approach
