Southcoast carpentry and maintenance – Wollongong NSW
Southcoast carpentry and maintenance is seeking a skilled carpenter and handyperson to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Wollongong NSW 2500, this role will involve a variety of general maintenance and carpentry tasks to support our clients across the Illawarra region.
What you'll be doing
* Undertaking a range of carpentry and maintenance work, including installing fixtures, repairing furniture, and completing other general handyperson tasks
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and determining the best course of action to resolve them
* Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and deliver a high standard of workmanship
* Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, and ensuring all tools and equipment are well-maintained
* Providing advice and recommendations to clients on home improvement and maintenance projects
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a carpenter and handyperson, with a strong understanding of construction principles and building maintenance
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work autonomously to resolve issues
* Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
* A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
