About Your New Role
This position is designed to provide support to Catholic Schools in the Diocese, focusing on fostering connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Marian Catholic College Griffith - 21 hours
* St Mary's Primary Yoogali - 7 hours
* St Patrick's Primary Griffith - 14 hours
Your Key Responsibilities
As an Aboriginal School and Community Worker, you will be responsible for:
* Supporting students, teachers, and parents from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds
* Fostering partnerships with local community organisations and Aboriginal Elders
* Collaborating with school staff to develop culturally responsive programs and activities
* Providing guidance and resources to help create a more inclusive school environment

Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
* Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
* Supportive of the purpose, vision, and values of Catholic Education
* Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and supportively with all community members
* Effective communication skills in various settings
* Current NSW driver's license
* NSW Working with Children Check
* Successful candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check
* Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A) or willing to achieve
