Job Summary
The Major Account Manager partners with our customers to secure their entire digital experience, driving and orchestrating large complex sales cycles and leading sales engagements.
Palo Alto Networks is leading the charge in platformization, offering best‐in‐breed solutions that enable customers to build a truly zero‐trust security architecture. To equip our sales team, we developed FLIGHT, an immersive onboarding program that blends virtual and in‐person learning at our headquarters.
Your Impact
* Drive and orchestrate large complex sales cycles while collaborating with internal partners to best serve the customer.
* Use consultative selling to identify business challenges and create solutions for prospects and customers.
* Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs to effectively position our portfolio of solutions.
* Create clear goals and maintain accurate forecasting by developing a detailed territory plan.
* Leverage prospect stories to craft a compelling value proposition tailored to each account.
* Stay updated on industry news and trends and how they affect our products and services.
* Travel within your territory and to company‐wide meetings as necessary.
Qualifications
* At least 10 years of demonstrated experience selling complex solutions, value selling, and/or consultative sales techniques.
* Experience and knowledge of SaaS‐based architectures, ideally in networking and/or security.
* Technical aptitude for understanding how technology products solve business problems.
* Ability to identify problems, analyze data, determine root causes, and provide scalable solutions.
* Cultivate relationships with channel partners to deliver a channel‐centric go‐to‐market approach.
* In‐depth knowledge of the full sales cycle and ability to follow a structured sales process.
* Holistic problem‐solving approach, understanding the bigger picture and complex interrelationships.
* Excellent time management skills, working with high levels of autonomy and self‐direction.
