Job Description
As a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a safe and healthy work environment. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing workplace health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Embed and maintain the Ramsay safety management system, templates, and documentation.
* Investigate incidents and develop strategies to minimize future risks.
* Conduct risk assessments, site audits, and provide workplace safety training.
* Develop and implement effective safety practices.
* Prepare and present safety performance reports for stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (minimum of a Certificate IV in WHS).
* Experience in workplace health and safety, preferably within the healthcare industry or a large organization.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and organized approach to managing multiple priorities.
* Proven ability to work autonomously.
* Excellent planning, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
