About the Role
As a Packaging Team Leader, you will lead and empower your team to take accountability and deliver exceptional performance.
The role oversees a single shift and is responsible for ensuring operational excellence while driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all health, safety, environment, quality & food safety, cost, and reliability standards are met.
* Drive conformance to regulatory and accreditation standards.
* Inspire change and implementation within a continuous improvement culture.
* Lead line team in the deployment of guidelines and ensure adherence and compliance.
* Play a key role in scheduling of the packaging lines using a deep understanding of future demand.
* Spend 70% of time on the shop floor establishing team capability & development as per the Site Capability Framework.
* Plan and implement operations resources and make tactical decisions to meet the Annual Operating Plan financial budget.
* Facilitate execution of daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual maintenance within the RCM framework.
Requirements
* Degree or Diploma in Science/Engineering/Business.
* Relevant certification in Packaging/Beverage manufacturing or willingness to complete within 12 months.
* Proven experience in a production supervisory/management role with ownership of safety, quality, efficiency, delivery, service, cost, and morale KPIs.
* Ability to manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team.
* Proactive structured problem-evaluation & solving skills gained through exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or manufacturing excellence.
* Strong financial awareness, understanding of business drivers, and budgeting processes.
* Operational proficiency in MS Office and Diageo packages.
