Up to $120,000 + super
Step into a commercially focused Management Accountant role where you'll take ownership of costing for a newly acquired manufacturing business. This is a hands-on position partnering closely with operations, where your insights will directly influence production efficiency, margins, and business performance.
You'll play a key role in building and refining costing processes, while supporting broader financial planning and analysis across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
* Building and maintaining BOMs that directly influence production efficiency and product profitability
* Analysing standard costs, actual costs, and variances, translating numbers into actionable insights for operational and management decisions
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
* Working closely with production teams, helping ensure costing processes are practical and accurate
* Preparing and presenting reports to managers and operational stakeholders, guiding strategic decisions
* Contributing to process improvements, making costing systems smarter, faster, and more effective
Qualifications
* Tertiary education in accounting
* Related experience, either as a Management Accountant or Cost Accountant
* Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and operational finance
* Comfortable using accounting software (Pronto or similar) and MS Office
* Strong communication skills, able to explain costing insights clearly to managers, clients, and operational teams
