Ceduna Café & Restaurant is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering fresh, high-quality meals and excellent service to our community and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and organize the preparation and cooking of meals.
* Determine menu items and seasonal specials in consultation with management.
* Ensure food quality, portion sizes, and presentation meet our standards.
* Supervise, train, and coordinate kitchen staff.
* Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and maintain cost control.
* Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and occupational health standards.
* Adapt menus for dietary requirements and customer preferences.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and consistency.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of full-time experience as a Chef (essential).
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) desirable.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
