Our Client, a Engineering firm, dealing in multi-disciplined engineering design, construction and project management company that has developed a reputation for delivering professional, practical and cost effective services to the resource industry are currently recruiting for a Project Manager vacancy. The applicant will be responsible for:
* Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management
aspects of projects.
* Responsible for leading a project with the desired aim of successful completion to client’s and the
Engineering’s requirements within safety and profitability targets.
Education and Experience:
* Appropriate levels of Project Management qualifications.
* Preferably a trade qualification, or relevant, with regards to engineering.
* Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
* Experience Project Manager in an engineering environment
* Ability to present and communicate across all channels.
* Contract Management ability.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
* Successful management of Engineering Projects with the aim of ensuring:
o Completion of task as per project specification.
o Zero harm to anyone involved in the project.
o Agreed levels, or better, of profitability.
o Project engineering schedules and forecasts.
* Project engineering schedules and forecasts.
* Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables.
* Regular project status reports and change orders.
* Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.
* Requires extensive regular contact with assigned project clients.
* Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
* Participating in client/contractor meetings and resolving client/engineering and management
project issues.
* Effective accounting skills such as, but not limited to:
o Budget monitoring and trend tracking.
o Profit & Loss accountability.
o Review and approve project Client invoices.
o Procurement.
o Cost control.
o Efficiency savings
Technical/Systems Knowledge:
* Project Management processes and procedures.
* Recognised qualification in Project Management.
* High level of computer skills regarding project management software.
* Knowledge of engineering processes, specifically in relation to mining.
Additional information
* Appropriate levels of Project Management qualifications.
* Preferably a trade qualification, or relevant, with regards to engineering.
* Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
