We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join its supportive and nurturing team in Ipswich. About The School
Redstone Hall School supports up to 30 pupils aged 5-18 with a range of complex needs. The school provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, where every learner is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support or work with small groups of up to six pupils
* Support the class teacher in delivering effective and engaging lessons
* Monitor and report on pupil progress, working collaboratively with school staff
* Supervise pupils during breaks, extracurricular activities, and school trips
* Assist with lesson planning and classroom preparation
* Set and mark work where appropriate
* Build positive, supportive relationships that promote engagement and progress
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
* Have a strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
* Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
* Have experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
* Are confident in applying behaviour management strategies
* Are proactive, adaptable, and committed to ongoing professional development
* Are willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
