Overview
The Grampians Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (YPARC) program is a collaborative, step‐down and step‐up sub‐acute mental health service for people in the Grampians catchment. It operates 24/7 in a community setting and supports individuals who are becoming unwell or in the early stages of recovery from an acute illness.
As a Senior Recovery Worker you will support the YPARC team, contribute to program effectiveness, and work with participants individually and in groups.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to YPARC participants using a keywork model, developing individual recovery plans and working towards identified goals during their stay.
* Support a multidisciplinary approach, including participation in clinical reviews and coordinating midway reviews with key supports such as family, friends, clinicians or other services.
* Provide practice supervision to Recovery Workers, including supervision sessions and facilitating monthly team reflective practice.
* Provide operational supervision to overnight and later shift Recovery Workers under guidance from the Program Coordinator.
* Facilitate groups within the YPARC model using Wellways session plans and resources.
* Assist with roster maintenance, coordinate casual coverage, and support recruitment, orientation and training of new staff.
* Ensure operational and administrative requirements are met, including regular reporting and record maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
* Diploma in Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) or a related community services field.
* Relevant experience or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
* Prior experience working within the Mental Health industry or a community‐based organisation.
* Current and valid Driver's Licence and ability to undertake travel.
* Appropriate IT skills.
* Successful completion of a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
* Right of work in Australia and 100 points of ID.
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
