Are you an experienced risk management individual who can "hit the ground running" and has a knack for building strong organisational partnerships? I am currently seeking an experienced Risk Advisor for an exciting short‐term contract ($60‐$70/hr). This is a critical role within the Governance & Risk portfolio, focused on promoting a positive risk culture and ensuring strategic objectives are met safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Facilitation: Lead the ongoing development and review of strategic and organisational risk management programs in line with best practice standards.
* Advisory & Support: Provide expert risk training and advisory services to management and employees regarding day‐to‐day activities, projects, and community events.
* Reporting & Compliance: Manage mandatory legislative compliance reporting and monitor the Council's risk profile to ensure all timelines and obligations are met.
* Emergency & Continuity Planning: Coordinate the development, testing, and enhancement of the Business Continuity Plan and Community Emergency Response Plan.
Ideally You Will
* Proven Experience: A solid background in risk management, internal audit, or business improvement with a strong understanding of risk management frameworks and standards.
* Exceptional Communication: The ability to build quick, effective relationships and negotiate outcomes with high‐level managers and diverse stakeholders.
