The role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Talent Acquisition you will play a critical role in maintaining high‐quality recruitment delivery while driving a focused "back‐to‐basics" uplift across our system PageUp. You will lead a team of 7 in end‐to‐end recruitment across a diverse client portfolio, contributing to improvements in how recruitment is delivered across the Department. Your responsibilities include managing high‐volume and complex recruitment activity, coaching team members, managing escalations, and supporting the implementation of improved tools, templates and workflows. A key focus of the role is enhancing the experience for both candidates and hiring managers, ensuring recruitment processes are inclusive, transparent and efficient.
This is a 9‐month fixed‐term opportunity covering an internal movement during maternity leave, ideal for an experienced TA leader who enjoys balancing delivery with continuous improvement and trusted advisor partnerships.
What You Will Bring To The Role
* Strong stakeholder engagement and client management skills, with the ability to partner confidently with senior leaders and influence outcomes.
* Demonstrated experience delivering recruitment outcomes while improving service consistency, efficiency and candidate experience.
* Ability to lead and coach recruitment team members, support capability uplift, and manage complex or sensitive recruitment matters.
* Sound understanding of NSW Government recruitment legislation, policy and governance, with the ability to apply this practically.
* Experience using recruitment data and insights to inform planning, prioritisation and continuous improvement.
* A flexible, improvement‐focused mindset, comfortable working in fast‐paced and evolving environments.
Key Knowledge And Experience
* Significant experience in internal recruitment, including interpretation and application of policy or legislative requirements.
* Proven experience contributing to recruitment improvement initiatives, such as process optimisation, systems uplift, or service model enhancements.
* Experience supporting or leading recruitment teams through periods of change or transition.
* Systems knowledge in PageUp will be advantageous to your application.
