About the Role
As a Principal Environmental Consultant, you will be the technical lead for environmental impact assessment and approvals projects in NSW. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of environmental, ecological, and contaminated land specialists, you'll lead projects from inception to delivery while building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Scoping Reports, REFs, SEEs, and Management Plans.
* Coordinate day-to-day project management, including client liaison, specialist sub-consultants, and team members.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standard.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior approvals and planning staff.
* Contribute to business development and growth opportunities for the team in NSW.
* Represent the company externally through industry forums and networking opportunities.
About You
* REAP accredited (Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner) or actively working towards REAP accreditation.
* Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or Urban Planning.
* Minimum 15 years' experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on approvals and planning.
* Proven track record in managing complex approvals projects across sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, transport, mining, and urban development.
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability and willingness to travel for project and client needs.
