Job Summary:
* HSE Advisor - Warehouse and Logistics Focus
We are seeking a dedicated HSE Advisor to join our team in the Goulburn region of New South Wales.
This role will support our site operations team, with a specific focus on warehouse and logistics activities, as well as the safe operation of plant and equipment.
The successful candidate will maintain and enhance a positive safety environment across our project sites.
You will provide expert HSE guidance and support for warehouse operations, material handling, and logistical activities.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE plans, procedures, and systems relevant to warehousing, logistics, and plant equipment.
* Conducting targeted risk assessments and inspections of warehouse areas, loading/unloading zones, and plant equipment.
* Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of all plant equipment, including adherence to pre-start checks, maintenance schedules, and operator competencies.
* Investigating incidents and near misses related to warehousing, logistics, and plant equipment, and developing effective preventative actions.
* Maintaining accurate HSE records and preparing reports with a focus on warehouse and equipment-related metrics.
* Collaborating with management and logistics teams to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of warehouse management, transportation, and equipment utilisation.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant WHS legislation and regulations, as well as NHVR requirements.
You will also be responsible for supporting the wider organisation on contractor and sub-contractor pre-qualification and management.
What We Are Looking For:
* Proven experience in an HSE advisory role with a strong emphasis on warehousing, logistics, and plant equipment safety.
* In-depth understanding of WHS legislation and regulations in New South Wales, with specific knowledge related to warehouse safety, manual handling, and plant equipment operation.
* Practical experience reviewing contractor and sub-contractor training in an operational environment.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safe work procedures for warehousing, logistics, and plant equipment.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* A proactive and solutions-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous improvement in warehouse and equipment safety.
Qualifications:
* Relevant HSE qualifications (e.g. Diploma in Work Health and Safety or higher).
* A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
* A valid driver's license.
