My Place is a values-based organisation that supports people with disabilities to pursue the lifestyle of their choice. We are assisting an person with a disability to recruit their own support workers.
I'm seeking positive, dependable female support workers to join my team. I will be living in my own home in Sinagra (WA) supported by my carers from February 2026. This role will involve supporting all aspects of independent living, including personal care, household tasks, cooking, cleaning, shopping, as well as helping me enjoy my community. I enjoy being in the community for festivals and events as well as going swimming and other activities.
In preparation for my move into my own home, I need to build my team to include care staff for to provide care for round the clock care. Shifts will be 24 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM the following day. Additionally, there will also be shorter shifts, approximately 4 hours to allow for the periods when 2:1 support is required.
Ideal candidates have experience supporting individuals with high intensity care needs and have experience with manual handling, hoisting, managing a PEG, epilepsy, alternative communication strategies and be comfortable driving my adapted vehicle. If you're energetic, proactive, detail-oriented, creative, and have a great sense of humour, this role could be for you
Requirements:
* Valid WA Driver's License
* Worker screening check (or willingness to obtain one)
* NDIS Worker orientation module
* First aid certificate
