Public Policy and Advocacy Role
This exciting position offers the opportunity to shape public policy and amplify advocacy efforts in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft high-quality content aligned with our advocacy agenda, including speeches, briefing notes, submissions, and media releases.
* Monitor media activities and emerging trends, providing insights and recommendations on how to address key issues.
* Create engaging content for media, social media, and digital platforms to promote our advocacy efforts.
* Review and enhance advocacy content on our websites, ensuring it effectively communicates our positions and activities to stakeholders.
* Contribute to the development of accessible public policy positions for leaders and spokespeople.
* Draft public policy positions aligned with our key advocacy priorities and strategic goals.
* Conduct research and analysis on emerging issues, providing written and verbal insights and recommendations to support advocacy efforts.
* Monitor parliamentary and government activities, staying informed on new developments and offering recommendations on how they may impact us.
* Support other functions within the Government & Public Policy and Corporate Communications teams, contributing to our overall advocacy and communication strategies.

Requirements
* Undergraduate Degree in public policy, political science, communications or other relevant discipline (Obtained in 2024 or due to complete in 2025)
* Experience in customer service, retail and/or hospitality is highly desirable
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to craft compelling arguments in policy proposals, submissions and briefings
* Strong research and analytical skills
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high quality of work
* Team player with strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
* High attention to detail, with a strong work ethic and self-motivation
* Teamwork demonstrated through extracurricular activities
* GPA of 5.0 or higher (credit average)
