Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Mobile maintenance Deisel fitter A Shift to join our operation in Savage River.
Based out of the Pit Mobile Equipment workshop, this position will include repairs to the Mobile Mining Fleet, including Caterpillar haul trucks, Graders, D10T Dozers, Hitachi Excavators/Shovels and Sandvik/Atlas Copco drill rigs, including breakdown maintenance.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Communicating with other technical and operational staff on site
* Fault finding - inspection, identifying, and diagnosis of mechanical malfunctions
* Assisting in continuous improvement and process development projects within the mobile maintenance team
* Carrying out minor and major repairs on the Mobile mining equipment at Savage River
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
* Air-conditioning licence
* Current high-risk licences- Forklift, EWP, Dogman, Crane ticket
* Current full manual driver's licence
* Experience with Caterpillar SIS network would be advantageous
* Previous Caterpillar, Hitachi and Epiroc experience
* Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, would be advantageous
* Good interpersonal and organisational skills
* Diesel fitter or dual trade

Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.
Savage River
The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine is a long-life mining asset where ore is mined and processed before it is transported by pipeline to Grange's pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.
The Savage River worksite is only an hour and half drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour's flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
