Remuneration package
Up to $170K (£90K) p.a (based on years of experience)

The Opportunity
Join an energetic, social and dynamic emergency multidisciplinary team with exposure to all facets of emergency medicine including tropical medicine and indigenous health specific to North Queensland. Townsville University Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is the only tertiary ED in the northern half of Queensland, accredited for 24 months ACEM training.
Fulltime and fractional Emergency Department positions available. 12 to 24 month contracts and flexible rosters written around your training and individual needs.
Essential Criteria
Doctors must be registered with AHPRA OR eligible to apply for Australian medical registration AHPRA Competent Authority pathway.
The AHPRA registration requirements for IMG's are:
• Candidate must hold UK or IE Medical graduate (primary) qualifications OR
• Candidate must hold PLAB certification
AND
• Candidate must have successfully completed FY1 in the UK or Intern year in Ireland OR
• Candidate must completed 12 months supervised training (internship equivalent) in the UK
Mandatory requirements for this role:
Successful completion of at least three (3) years post-registration training, (2 years for ACCRM/FRACGP trainees applying for ED AST).
Accepted into recognised vocational college training program relevant to speciality is preferred.
If appointee is not accepted into a recognised vocational college training program – employment will be as a Principal House Officer and remuneration will be at the L4–L7 (PHO) level per fortnight.
